“BE HERE NOW” - Thank You Note
When the Kickstarter campaign for “Be Here Now - The Andy Whitfield Story” successfully finished on July 23 after an international support rally of fans it had raised over $302,811 and is now heading into post-production with an expected release in early 2013. All funds raised beyond the initial goal of $200,000 will go into international distribution and campaign with organizations like Stand Up For Cancer to full-fill Andy’s wish and reach as many people as possible. The support of the community continues to grow across all channels and co-filmmakers can now continue to follow the final steps in the making of the film on the project’s website: beherenowfilm.com.
This project shows how Kickstarter helps to not only fund projects, but also create fan and support communities around a common goal, way beyond the project’s fundraising stage.
