That’s why we love Kickstarter!
A few short months ago, Brooklyn-based artist Mike perry raised funds on Kickstarter for a pretty ambitious idea: a three month pop-up art space and community exhibition where he would conduct workshops, host screenings, facilitate open discussions, and anything else his community could come up with. On the table already were zine, drawing, and type classes and a series of gatherings that would coincide with Brooklyn Museum’s Target First Saturdays. The project was a success, and from what it looks like on The Fox is Black, so is the space’s actual execution. See more photos here, and if you’re Brooklyn-bound anytime in the next few months be sure to swing by the space.
