“ ‘Skyfall’ Blasts Off Overseas With Massive $77.7 Million from 25 markets
The 23rd instalment in the James Bond series sets an attendance records in the U.K. and could become the biggest in the Bond franchise.
The rather dark Sam Mendes directed ‘Skyfall’ marks the 50th-anniversary of the Bond series and sees Daniel Craig reprise his 007 role for the 3rd time, with Javier Bardem as the designated villain and Judie Dench in her 7th role as ‘M’.
“This picture has such an incredible DNA and to be so loved by critics and audiences alike will push it be one of the biggest, if not biggest, Bond pics,” Sony worldwide president of distribution Rory Bruer said.
